So my friend comes to pick me up at 4-ish and we drive the 30 minutes to Weymouth.  We go inside and are like “aight, I guess we don’t actually have to pay for admission…” so we sit down and The Semester Abroad is just kinda messing around and playing some songs for the people that’re there early.  More people file in and this guy walks through the crowd and is like “so…you all need to go outside and pay…then you can come back” and we were like “really?” we went outside, came back in and paid and sat down again. yay.  the show starts and Stay is the first band up and they’re really good.  go listen. now.  anyways, after them was a band that I don’t know the name of because they never said it.  all I know is that they had a song named the exact same thing as a new ATL song that’s going to be on Nothing Personal.  they were okay.  next was The Semester Abroad and of course everybody loved them, including myself.  they’re amazing!  Tyler sounds like Christofer Drew and I mentioned that to my friend and then they did a Nevershoutnever! cover and I started laughing.  so they finish and the guy before nick comes on to play but nick comes up with him and everyone starts getting really excited.

nobody listens to the last guy because nick is like rightthere and all anyone can think about is how amazing he is and how ready we all are for HIS set.  the last guy finally finishes (I swear to god his last song must have been 10 minutes long) and we’re like “niiiiick!” and then this guy comes out with a screaming baby raccoon and is like, “shhhhh!  quiet now, I wanna tell you all about the wildlife center for a minute.  this is george,” and I tune out by now cause the raccoon is screaming its head off.  the guy leaves and nick comes up. 

he’s like “so, I haven’t played solo in about a year.  I’m gonna make 300 mistakes.  you can count if you want to!”  and starts off with If Only They Knew and is super shocked when we know all the words.  he steps back from the mic and we’re all singing all the words and he smiles really big before he keeps singing.

what was I saying? oh yeah!  so he plays a shitload more songs including: If Only They Knew, Just Another One, Fear of Flying, Baby We’re Invincible, I Think About You Everyday, Dakota, I’m Not Saying Goodbye, the New and Untitled Song, I’ll be Your Sunset, and a buttload of covers: Waking Up In Vegas, Our Song, parts of SOS, The Climb, Love Story, and some others I unfortunately can’t remember.  he told us his middle name is Bernard. I don’t even know how to describe how much fun I has singing all the words.  I don’t wanna sound delusional or conceited but he definitely looked at me a few times and that kind of made my night, haha.  duing Dakota, we all started singing the ba da ba ba ba da da da da’s and actually would not start the song until we sang it fifty more times.

so he finishes and then goes upstairs to put his shit away.  while this is happening, me and my friend go visit Tyler from The Semester Abroad and talk to him about his amazing Sparks the Rescue shirt and get pictures with him.  mine is kind of embarrassing so no.  hers was really cute, haha.  we went outside and lo and behold, there was nick being swarmed by girls, yay!  time to get assertive.  we jumped in and I whipped out my sharpie and took my shoe off.  the right one where I write all my favorite ARTTM lyrics.  my left one is for The Maine. 

so we wait and at 8:47 we reached him.  I only know that because he asked what time it was, haha.  so my friend gets him to sign her epic jacket with like everybody’s signature on it and then I take a picture of them hugging. awwww. then it’s my turn and I ask him to sign my shoe and he does.

love it.  anyways, then we take a picture and he holds me really tight to him and his head is on mine and ahhh! (picture previously posted)  I was too happy for words.  we’re about to leave and I’m like “see you july 19th!” and he’s like “definitely!” and smiles.  then my mom is there so I have to go.  bye nick! I love you! I get in the car and all of a sudden I’m like what is that wonderful smell? I sniff around the car and it’s my right shoulder where nick was.  he rubbed off on me.  I couldn’t stop smelling myself, haha.

I miss him so much.

stop calling out all the new fans who love them JUST AS MUCH AS YOU DO.  I, for one, already feel shitty enough that I haven’t known about them from the start but people just need to stop. let up on all the bitch comments and just let everyone like the music that they make. is it really so hard?

so fine, the comments are directed at the “fans” who think The Maine only have two songs: Everything I Ask For and Into Your Arms.  then please stop making it sound like they’re aimed at everyone (including people who actually do love them more than anything in the world).

I’ve watched all the videos, I have all of their songs, I know all the words, I know all about them as people and yet I’m not a “true fan” because I haven’t been listening since they first started?  sorry, but that’s bullshit.

yeah, they’re gonna pick up tons of new fans from Into Your Arms but they will be able to tell who actually likes them for them. I don’t think any of those boys would take any shit from anyone.  especially from little 12 year olds who “LOVETHEMSOMUCH”.  we’re okay.  I’m almost 100% sure. it doesn’t matter how long you’ve known them as long as you give them as much support and love.  that’s when they’ll care the most.

and then I PM'd Eric when he was on the main account just to say "hi eric!!" and on the camera he was like "Hi Judayyy!".  It made me very excited and probably made my week.  you boys are amazing and I just HAVE to see you in July!!

It was a normal school day until I left before last period.  Me and my friend walked home and got everything ready.  We waited for my dad to come and he took forever to get going.  So, we’re finally on our way and we get to the HOB around 3:15.  He dropped us off and we waited outside the ticket window until he came back. Well, I did…she got us a great spot in line.  Anyways, while I’m waiting for my turtle father to walk back to where we were, the doors were open to the stage where THE MAINE were soundchecking.  I saw John and died.  I was all about ready to peeeeeeee my pants!  Then the guys from ARTTM showed up to unload all their shit from the van.  They must’ve walked by me a hundred times and I just stood there watching.  I was very angry with myself.  I kept watching The Maine and they were playing Into Your Arms and then they did some weird screamo song and John looked very entertained, haha.

I keep waiting for my dad and then Nick Santino walks by on his phone and I’m like “ohhhhhh shit”.  He’s such a cutie, haha.  But yeah, didn’t say anything to him either.  Then my dad finally gets there so we buy the tickets and get back in line where my friend is waiting.  It’s about 3:45 now so we had some time left.  We waited for my other friend to come meet us with her two friends and she got there around 4:30-4:45, I don’t remember.  We talked and talked and were SOOOOOO excited!!  I was ready to pee the entire time!

Time passed kinda quickly actually, it was great.  By 6 the doors were open so we went in and I got right up front.  Like, against the barricade up front.  I felt kinda bad cause I was squashed up against this girl but she was really nice.  My friend was behind me and I had the bag with presents in it  over my back.  She was holding on so she wouldn’t move.

While we were waiting, there was music playing and there was a box kinda up top of the stage where all the guys were hanging out.  Halvo got up on the ladder there and started shaking his ass.  It was very funny.  Then I saw John, Kenny, Garrett, Loren, and Nick up there.  Nick was the only one to stay though because his family was up in this special balcony section that connected to the box.  He would come near the railing and people would start screaming and then he would walk away.  He did this multiple times before their set started at 7.

They played their EP and one new song which was very very goooooood.  I was singing all the words.  Yes.  All of them.  People started eitehr crowd surfing or trying to get out of the pit…I think it was both but the secruity guards had to keep yanking people out.  They took one girl out next to me and she kicked my arm so now there’s a huge bruise there.  Nick was adorable though.  He was like “Fuck yeah!” and then he looked up to the balcony and was like “Sorry mom”.  Haha.  Halvo was like thisclose to me a buncha times cause I was right in front of his mic and that was exciting.  Because of all the moshing, I got moved closer to the center but not close enough.  Damn.  Oh, and then John came out to sing his part in Just Another One and I started smiling like crazyyyy.  He was adorable.  He always is.  Love you.

So next was Hit the Lights.  Eh.  A little too loud for my taste and I didn’t really like them but I was happy when Kennedy came out and played a song with them on guitar.  Their guitarist wasn’t there…

Then The Maine was up and John came up and I started screaming.  Like scuh-reaming.  That boys definitely knows how to work a crowd and he kept saying the funniest things.  We made eye contact for like a second but that was it because he was always on the other side of the stage.  I caught Garrett’s eye once or twice too and Jared sweat on me.  John kept taking sips from his water and throwing it super far out so I couldn’t get it.  Then Garrett threw his pick and it went right by my head.  Like, I saw it whiz by me.  Then it hit the girl next to me, bounced out of the pit and I held my hand out for it.  The security guard picks it up and hands it to the girl next to me.  I was like “really????”  I knew the words to every single one of their songs and John messed up once during either Time to Go or We All Roll Along, I can’t remember.  All I remember is singing the right words and he started the wrong verse and then stopped singing til the chorus, haha.  Then, before Into Your Arms John was telling us what the song was about and he’s like “This song is about sexual intercourse” I was laughing very hard after that.  When they played I Must Be Dreaming and sang “two kids, one love, who cares if we make it up?” I threw my fingers up like there was no tomorrow.  We had a “Who’s sexier in Boston contest” and the audience was split into two sides: Garrett’s and John’s.  I was on Garrett’s side.  It was fun.  Between songs, John starts talking then he stops and turns to Garrett and says “Dude, I just burped.  That shit tasted like chicken.  That’s fucked up” and I laughed again.  He’s so amazing!!  There were so many other amazing things in their set but I don’t want to type them all, haha.

FF5 was up next but I didn’t really want to see them so I left the pit and went upstairs to find my friend who had left earlier.  We were looking for The Maine cause they said they’d be out but they were showering and stuff.   I bought a shirt for my brother at the 3OH!3 merch table and then went to get a shirt and poster from The Maine’s merch table.  We met up with my other friends after that and stayed together for a while while FF5 was going.  They were actually really good!

We waited for 3OH!3 then and they were SO AMAZING!!!  Me and my friend snuck around near the doors during Chokechain so we could get to meet the guys sooner.

When they finished Don’t Trust Me, we bolted outside and found Halvo!!  I took a picture with him and I’ll post it in a bit.  We found Loren really shortly after and I got a picture with him too, haha.  Then we walked around a little cause I needed to find John to give him his stuff.  Then I saw Garrett and Kennedy and got pictures with them so that was good.  I kept looking and looking for John but no such luck.  I saw a glimpse of him but left and I got really upset.  After some more searching, the guys were being ushered inside because the police wouldn’t let them stay outside.  I almost started bawling right there as I gripped John’s present in my hands.  I went back to where Garrett was because he hadn’t been taken away yet.  “Garrett! Garrett!” I called, tapping his shoulder.  He was surrounded and the guy was taking him away.  I was on the verge of tears.  “Go get him!!!” my friend yelled and I sprinted after him.  “Garrett! Garrett!” I called.  Still didn’t hear me.  “Garrett!” I tried one more time and he turned around.  I can’t imagine what my face looked like.  “Hey” he said.  “Can you give these to John please?” I asked, shoving my presents at him.  He smiled and said in a very sweet voice “Yeah, sure”  I smiled so wide and thanked him over and over.  I was content then and would have been happy if it ended there.  I was wrong.  I started walking away from the HOB and John was pinned against the wall by at least 50 girls and was apologizing because Max was taking him inside.  He kept saying “I’m gonna get arrested!” over and over and over.  I was on the outside of the pack of girls and he was giving the inner circle hugs and then he just left.  Without even looking at me.  I saw his hair and then just…gone.  I got so upset.  You don’t even know, I was sniffling the whole walk to the car (which was pretty far) and then my friend cheered me up and made me talk about all the other good things that happened.

It was the best night of my life.

Now, I’m just waiting on a phone call for a very very speical someone.
